Who the Heck am I

Welcome to my blog, I ran out of storage space on my last blog so instead of purchasing more space I decided to start another.

Photographing is one of my biggest passions in life. I've been a photographer for 20+ years. Although I have sold some of my work I consider myself an advance amateur. Which means I'm pretty good at pretending to know what I am doing. I arrived from Massachusetts to Northern Kentucky September 16, 2001. I hated it, for months I complained about living here, besides all the redneck jokes I would get there was nothing about Northern Kentucky I enjoyed, when I got over myself I dusted off my camera and headed for the hills, literally, I never fully understood what a beautiful place this is until I was given my first digital camera as a Christmas gift. In all honesty you couldn't get me to move out of this state.

Living so near to Cincinnati (I live right across the river) no other city can offer me more. Art museums, Cincinnati Zoo, symphony, theatre, aquarium, amusement park, Dozens of parks, one of the largest and most amazing firework display in the country and so much more. If you are from the area you know what I am talking about, if you're not, believe me when I say In and Around Northern Kentucky is worth the visit.

I know you will want to check out my other blog, I have shot photographs at the Behringer-Crawford Museum, Cincinnati Museum Center, Cincinnati Zoo, Creation Museum, Eden Park, Findlay Market, Fountain, Square, Krohn Conservatory, Rabbit Hash, KY, Railway Museum, Smale Park, Spring Grove Cemetery and much more. Christmas Already?

Every year we complain more and more about how early American business advertise Christmas, this year I saw my first commercial, although I can't remember who it was, in the middle of October, honestly I draw the line anything Christmas before Halloween however, I find in my opinion November to be fair game when it comes to everything Christmas, go ahead roll those eyes. Last week I made honey bring up the fake Christmas tree (I'm allergic to real trees) so I could start putting the lights on. Most people are not as picky as I am when it comes to Christmas lights, since this is a new tree all new lights have to be put on the tree, every branch from the tip to the trunk, this will take me hours that I will split up between two days, yep I put up a hell of a lot of lights but boy it is worth it.

This year is our first year in our new house, because of this I have had to put a lot of thought into how I will decorate, the last 10 days I have devoted all my energy into decorating the tree plus the two other smaller trees, the mantel, living room and dining room, I still have to do the staircase, put together a wreath to hang above the fireplace, a couple of flower arrangements are needed and lastly I will decorate the front of the house. My estimation is the house should be completed by the end of next week.

Now if I were to follow all the rules I wouldn't start decorating until the day after Thanksgiving, since Thanksgiving is the 28th of November that would mean technically I wouldn't finish the house until around December 16th, not acceptable, if I'm going to put all this effort into making my first Christmas in my new house I'm damn well going to enjoy it longer then a couple of weeks. That's my opinion and their is a good chance it will never change. Stay tune for photos.
