Who the Heck am I

Welcome to my blog, I ran out of storage space on my last blog so instead of purchasing more space I decided to start another.

Photographing is one of my biggest passions in life. I've been a photographer for 20+ years. Although I have sold some of my work I consider myself an advance amateur. Which means I'm pretty good at pretending to know what I am doing. I arrived from Massachusetts to Northern Kentucky September 16, 2001. I hated it, for months I complained about living here, besides all the redneck jokes I would get there was nothing about Northern Kentucky I enjoyed, when I got over myself I dusted off my camera and headed for the hills, literally, I never fully understood what a beautiful place this is until I was given my first digital camera as a Christmas gift. In all honesty you couldn't get me to move out of this state.

Living so near to Cincinnati (I live right across the river) no other city can offer me more. Art museums, Cincinnati Zoo, symphony, theatre, aquarium, amusement park, Dozens of parks, one of the largest and most amazing firework display in the country and so much more. If you are from the area you know what I am talking about, if you're not, believe me when I say In and Around Northern Kentucky is worth the visit.

I know you will want to check out my other blog, I have shot photographs at the Behringer-Crawford Museum, Cincinnati Museum Center, Cincinnati Zoo, Creation Museum, Eden Park, Findlay Market, Fountain, Square, Krohn Conservatory, Rabbit Hash, KY, Railway Museum, Smale Park, Spring Grove Cemetery and much more. A Rest For Pets

I think it's time for Frontline again.

I have to say that the above photo of Jessie has to be one of my favorites.
Jasper always at attention waiting for something to happen.
After letting the dogs back inside, by the time I reached the front of the house it was pouring out.

A Flower Moment

It has been one of those days where the clouds look like they are about to open up and let loose at any moment. Not wanting to venture out to far with the camera I managed to get some photos of my flowers, didn't realize how much I really like yellow.

okay the above photo is actually my neighbors.

Congrats!!!

I would like to congratulate my brother (on left) and my brother in law David (on right) on their marriage and a big high five to California for making same sex marriage legal.

Cleveland Rocks!!!

I know living across from Cincinnati I shouldn't be saying this but....Cleveland Rocks!!! My brother had his wedding reception in Cleveland, I was there for the weekend.  Friday after we all arrived we toured the Cleveland area, stopped to check out Lake Erie, it was like stepping in an air conditioned room, took some photos of the city, sorry Cleveland, Cincinnati is more picturesque, after the tour  we took in an Indians game on Friday night, they played against the Detroit Tigers, Tigers won....Go Tigers!!! What was funny is we hit firework Friday night, I couldn't take any photos as I used up all of my battery on the game, again sorry Cleveland, Reds put on a much, much better show. Saturday before the reception we went to the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. If you are in Cleveland this is a must see. The river front is beautiful, so what rating would I give Cleveland? Nice beaches, Lake Erie, lots to do, some great restaurants, I will have to give Cleveland a 7.5, seriously, the city was fun, clean and safe.

This one looks like a Cowpaca, am I right?
On my way to the hotel I passed an Alpaca farm, are these little guys just so cute.

She may be a Red Sox fan but she takes Tiger baseball seriously too.
My future daughter in law loves to flirt.
We had some rain at the game so I had to take cover, someone had to save my camera.

On and Around Rt. 8

It has been quite some time since I headed down RT. 8. I have a new photography partner, (see last photo) so I decided to show him Oneonta, a place I visited back in the winter of 2012, it is so much fun to show native Kentuckians places they never knew existed. It's even better when they use to live only a few miles down the road.

I never saw any cows, horses will have to do.
Meet Jason, my new photography bud. Thanks to Jason he has gotten me off my butt and motivated once again.

Heading to Cleveland soon, to bad hubby has to miss this trip and yes I am saying that sarcastically. I don't know I might be pleasantly surprised, at least I get to see my family or at least 2/3 of them.

Mt. Adams

Boston, Massachusetts

A couple of weeks ago I went to Boston for my future daughter in laws bridal shower, I haven't been back east for 11 years now. We (my son & I) had some time to kill so we headed to the building he works in and took some random shots of the city. At first I didn't understand why post processing was so hard, I wasn't able to get rid of the bluish tint, then I remembered that I shot the photos through tinted glass, So it is what it is. My next trip is Cleveland, I'm going with an open mind and by that I mean I am sure I will have some photographic opportunities

A Sample of My Day

I started my morning cruising down Rt. 10, just a sample of what I shot. The evening brought me to Washington Park.
Not sure where this bridge was leading but I wasn't about to find out.
I know, where are the cows? They will come later.
 Creepy!

Is this like the coolest kid? I love this photo.
I know I broke a rule with this photo but I had to get rid of the legs in background. Sometimes rules are made to be broken.
Yes I know the photo is blurry but I like it that way

Back Home

I arrived home last night from a brief visit to the Boston area, my future daughter in law had her bridal shower and it was time to meet her family as well, apparently I have some strange issues when it comes to meeting the new in laws. I met my daughters in laws the night before the wedding and it took nine years before I met my sons future in laws, thank God I only have two children. My visit brought with it a trip to the 36th floor of the State St. Building in Boston, just beautiful, stay tune for photos which I will post after I get rid of this horrible cold I have.
