Who the Heck am I

Welcome to my blog, I ran out of storage space on my last blog so instead of purchasing more space I decided to start another.

Photographing is one of my biggest passions in life. I've been a photographer for 20+ years. Although I have sold some of my work I consider myself an advance amateur. Which means I'm pretty good at pretending to know what I am doing. I arrived from Massachusetts to Northern Kentucky September 16, 2001. I hated it, for months I complained about living here, besides all the redneck jokes I would get there was nothing about Northern Kentucky I enjoyed, when I got over myself I dusted off my camera and headed for the hills, literally, I never fully understood what a beautiful place this is until I was given my first digital camera as a Christmas gift. In all honesty you couldn't get me to move out of this state.

Living so near to Cincinnati (I live right across the river) no other city can offer me more. Art museums, Cincinnati Zoo, symphony, theatre, aquarium, amusement park, Dozens of parks, one of the largest and most amazing firework display in the country and so much more. If you are from the area you know what I am talking about, if you're not, believe me when I say In and Around Northern Kentucky is worth the visit.

I know you will want to check out my other blog, I have shot photographs at the Behringer-Crawford Museum, Cincinnati Museum Center, Cincinnati Zoo, Creation Museum, Eden Park, Findlay Market, Fountain, Square, Krohn Conservatory, Rabbit Hash, KY, Railway Museum, Smale Park, Spring Grove Cemetery and much more. Cincinnati Bengals Paul Brown Stadium

Monday Night Football came to Cincinnati tonight, it was a great opportunity to head down to the river for some night photography of the stadium and of course the city. It was a great game as well as the Bengals kicked Pittsburgh's ass 20-10.

The Great American Tower even had its orange on.

This is a photo of a barge passing in front me.
 A little Covington.

Our First High School Football Game in the New Neighborhood

Tonight we thought we would check out Holmes High School football, it was the perfect night with the weather clear and chilly. We sat pretty far up and without a zoom lens I really couldn't get any good shots, as a matter of fact the only decent shot I managed to capture were the cheerleaders, oh well. I know what I did wrong so next game I will be a little more prepared, no a lot more prepared. On a scale of 1-5 the game was a 4, the photography 1.5. Two things about the evening which were great? Holmes beat Walton and I can just about guarantee the next game the photographs will improve. Note to self, when I become rich and famous a new zoom lens is on my list of things to buy.

Mainstrasse Oktoberfest 2013

We headed to Mainstrasse around noonish, I really wanted to get there before it became to crowded. I could have done without the heat, it was almost 90 at this point. Still worth the trip. Started out with a brat, then a boneless rib sandwich, soft pretzel and to end my day chocolate/peanut butter fudge, OMG YUMMY!!! This is the only festival in Covington that is worth going to and the one I look forward to the most. Best food ever!

Perfect timing, no lines to get food.
 Delish!

Sorry girly, if you're going to show it, I'm going to take a photo of it. That is one big tat.

Few More Reasons Why I Love Northern Kentucky

I think a macro lens is in my future.

Cincinnati Reds Fireworks 06-Sept-13

I'm not sure which was better tonight, the fireworks or watching the fireworks without any kids around screaming. Over all quite an improvement from the last event. Only one more firework show left so if you haven't been to one yet this will be your last chance until next season.

These are the only ones I completed tonight, more to follow later, time for this photog to head to bed.
