 Yes the 2014 schedule is out. This will be my 5th season photographing the fireworks. I wish I could say enough is enough already but I do love fireworks, I hope you're not bored.

The Calm Before the Storm

As a new twist Mother Nature has decided to switch things up a bit, the high today was in the upper 60's with severe thunderstorms, flash flooding and torrential downpours headed our way, why not we've had everything else this winter, Sunday and Monday a chance of snow...of course.

 It was quite a shock to find the above photo shot without Finks Restaurant there. With Jeff Ruby's and now Finks no longer on the river Covington has nothing to offer in the form of entertainment, might as well bring on the casinos.

 Anyone for a little adventure? One of these days!

 Devou Park even has waterfalls.

 Thought I would give miniture mode a try.

So this is what the yard and sidewalk are suppose to look like, looking forward to Spring.

Around Covington

I hope all of you are coping with the winter. I have always been a winter person, love the snow, the occasional super cold days, this winter however, has been nothing short of brutal. I even told hubby that Florida may be in the distant future for retirement, I know that will all change the moment the outside temperature hits 90 degrees but for right now even this winter person is again waving the white flag.   

My first stop on my winter morning roundabout was to check out Jeff Ruby's restaurant, as you can tell from the photo above Jeff Ruby's was no where to be found. I looked up and down the river but couldn't find it. I know it's out there probably in a spot that is hidden, I have to say this is probably the end of Jeff Ruby's.

With the amount of cold weather we have been having I wasn't surprised to hear that the Ohio River had floating ice chunks, a little disappointed that this was really all I found.

All that is left of Jeff Ruby.

I'm not really into street art all that much but hooda whadda?

Since I was in the area I had to head back to the cabin to see how the new tenants were handling the extreme weather conditions, I can tell you right now they are not amused...lol. Do not miss the cabin life.

The above two photos are the conditions of Covington streets. Messy, messy, messy. Every bit of what looks like snow is actually ice. Some have been able to clear their sidewalks, most have not. For those of you in the warmer climates saying "better you than me,"     Bite Me!!!....lol

Paco Update

Update:
Paco has found a new home, all I can say is whew, that puppy had way to much energy, I couldn't keep up. He will be missed....by Greg, okay I'll miss him a little too but I have to admit it sure is nice to have some peace and quiet again. The experience did make me realize one thing, I will never adopt a puppy, only an adult dog. Just a side note, it took me 2 hours to clean up the mess he left behind...lol, I couldn't believe all the toys he destroyed, looks like a trip to the store for more.

Mini Marathon....

....or crazy obsessed people who like to run when it's 18 degrees out? Whatever the case may be it sure is darn cold outside to be doing anything outdoors, I hope it was for charity. At least I didn't have to leave my house to capture this moment.

On another note, I heard the Ohio River has taken on some ice and Jeff Ruby Restaurant has gotten loose again, will be checking this all out shortly so stay tune.
