Who the Heck am I

Welcome to my blog, I ran out of storage space on my last blog so instead of purchasing more space I decided to start another.

Photographing is one of my biggest passions in life. I've been a photographer for 20+ years. Although I have sold some of my work I consider myself an advance amateur. Which means I'm pretty good at pretending to know what I am doing. I arrived from Massachusetts to Northern Kentucky September 16, 2001. I hated it, for months I complained about living here, besides all the redneck jokes I would get there was nothing about Northern Kentucky I enjoyed, when I got over myself I dusted off my camera and headed for the hills, literally, I never fully understood what a beautiful place this is until I was given my first digital camera as a Christmas gift. In all honesty you couldn't get me to move out of this state.

Living so near to Cincinnati (I live right across the river) no other city can offer me more. Art museums, Cincinnati Zoo, symphony, theatre, aquarium, amusement park, Dozens of parks, one of the largest and most amazing firework display in the country and so much more. If you are from the area you know what I am talking about, if you're not, believe me when I say In and Around Northern Kentucky is worth the visit.

I know you will want to check out my other blog, I have shot photographs at the Behringer-Crawford Museum, Cincinnati Museum Center, Cincinnati Zoo, Creation Museum, Eden Park, Findlay Market, Fountain, Square, Krohn Conservatory, Rabbit Hash, KY, Railway Museum, Smale Park, Spring Grove Cemetery and much more. Cincinnati Reds Fireworks 03-Aug-12

Can you believe that it's Aug. already? Only 2 more firework events left. Hope you've had the chance to catch at least one event. I've been a little off for the last week, I'm not crazy about how these photos came out. Hope you enjoy. Tomorrow night, as long as the rain holds out, we will be heading to the Bromley Fair. Stay tuned for those photos. It's getting late so I will upload more in the morning.

More Fireworks

Are you screaming enough with the fireworks yet? Hope not, 3 more events left. Last nights event was quite an improvement from the previous week. It was a little windy which actually made the fireworks a bit dramatic. I wasn't sure they would be setting off the fireworks at all, especially after last weeks grass fires. They did...YAY!

Cincinnati Reds Fireworks 13-July-12

Tonight we had a little more then just fireworks, the grass behind where they were shooting off the fireworks caught on fire. It took nearly 15 minutes before the fire trucks arrived. It never really was out of control, they did extinguish it quickly. Out of all the firework events that I have been to this one I am sorry to say was the biggest disappointment. Hope the next one improves.

The fire trucks already arrived however, you can still see some of the grass on fire.

Back to Smale Park

Headed back to the park again this evening. Parking was a little bit of an issue but eventually I found a free spot again. If you haven't checked this park out yet you really need to. For those of you that are not quite sure how to pronounce the name of the park...take the word mail and put an S in front of it...sounds like Smail.

You can tell by the tree it was a little breezy out tonight. I can't wait until the fence comes down, it really takes away from the photo.

I would pack it all up to move here.
Reds fan maybe?  Lets Play Ball!!!
If you look closely half way up the Freedom Center you can make out an orange light, that is a fire they have going all the time, I'm assuming (and I am not the sharpest tool in shed) that it has something to do with representing freedom. It's kinda cool.
