Who the Heck am I

Welcome to my blog, I ran out of storage space on my last blog so instead of purchasing more space I decided to start another.

Photographing is one of my biggest passions in life. I've been a photographer for 20+ years. Although I have sold some of my work I consider myself an advance amateur. Which means I'm pretty good at pretending to know what I am doing. I arrived from Massachusetts to Northern Kentucky September 16, 2001. I hated it, for months I complained about living here, besides all the redneck jokes I would get there was nothing about Northern Kentucky I enjoyed, when I got over myself I dusted off my camera and headed for the hills, literally, I never fully understood what a beautiful place this is until I was given my first digital camera as a Christmas gift. In all honesty you couldn't get me to move out of this state.

Living so near to Cincinnati (I live right across the river) no other city can offer me more. Art museums, Cincinnati Zoo, symphony, theatre, aquarium, amusement park, Dozens of parks, one of the largest and most amazing firework display in the country and so much more. If you are from the area you know what I am talking about, if you're not, believe me when I say In and Around Northern Kentucky is worth the visit.

I know you will want to check out my other blog, I have shot photographs at the Behringer-Crawford Museum, Cincinnati Museum Center, Cincinnati Zoo, Creation Museum, Eden Park, Findlay Market, Fountain, Square, Krohn Conservatory, Rabbit Hash, KY, Railway Museum, Smale Park, Spring Grove Cemetery and much more. Stewartsville Revisited

Back in March of 2013 I visited a small town that my GPS couldn't even find. Stewartsville, KY, as far as I can tell doesn't have its' own town, I believe technically they are considered a part of Williamstown. which has a much larger population with a town that is full of history. Stewartsville is your typical farming community, very few houses with lots and lots of land, sometimes as far as the eye can see. In 2013 I remember passing this house several times before I actually had the nerve to stop, when I finally did I met the new owner Eugene. The previous owner died and had absolutely no family, Eugene became the lucky owner of his estate. The house for those of you that do not remember did not have an indoor bathroom,  what the estate did have was a lot of acreage, I'm hoping Eugene has been able to pay the property taxes I would hate to have this beautiful piece of land own by the county, that would be such a waste.

At the time I took this photo Eugene didn't wish to be photographed, I managed to shoot one from the hip, gotcha anyway Eugene.
The house below I photographed again in March of 2013, I thought it was pretty beat up back then....
...but now with no one keeping it up which includes the grass, it is really falling apart.
I never could understand the reason why the porch swing was so high...
...I think Eugene must have thought the same thing and had it removed.
During the winter months this is where the previous owner stored his food...
...what a difference 16 months make.
